Guess what....

Today is Esther's birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ESTHER!!
♥ ♥ ♥

I hope you have a wonderful year...filled with the joy of Jesus and His blessings. I love you!

Ways Esther has blessed me...
...by always looking to Jesus, even in hard times.
..being encouraging to me, and to you all here. Without Esther, JOJ wouldn't be here!
...giving me inspiration for writing, when I'm drawing a blank. ;-)
...just the little things we've talked about in our phone conversations...I always love those! =)
...challenging me in my walk with the Lord.
...her joyful spirit.

How has Esther blessed you? Share in the comments below, and don't forget to wish her a Happy Birthday!! ;-)

  1. Happy Birthday Esther!

May God richly bless you this year and cause you to continue to grow in the ways of righteousness. May He be your source of wisdom, and protection, and help you to know the way wherein you should walk. I hope this year brings many surprises and blessings for you. I pray that God will guide you with His counsel, and help you to follow Him with your whole heart. May His word be your source of inspiration, and joy, and may you see His love in every tree, and every flower, and every person around you. May you never forget that you are special, and that you were created by God to serve a unique purpose. May you live each day in light of that purpose, and take joy in the beauty of God's mercy.

I look forward to meeting you one day, and until then I will enjoy keeping up with your blog, and sharing the joys of life at a distance:)

Here's one of my favorite passages, that I wanted to share with you today:)

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off." Isaiah 55:8-13

  2. :) I wondered if you wouldn't do this, Rachel! Thank you.

And thank you, Elanee--that's encouraging. This year has already held a good share of surprises and blessings, but I am looking forward to what will happen in the future.

Many blessings, to both of you! :)

  5. Happy, happy birthday Esther! I'm happy to say I do know you:) though not as well as I would like, not having seen you since you've moved to NZ. I appreciate your optimistic spirit and the tremendous encouragement you have been to me to write. I love looking at writing posts on your blog, as I'm working on my second novel. I miss our good times together, but am glad to still be friends through the blog and e-mails. have a year full of God, and may His mercies shower down on you. Sweet 16! Love, Abigail
