Recipe Wednesday: Covered Grapes

A note from Esther: Today’s recipe is very simple. But it looks delicious, too! This is something I want to try sometime soon.

Also, this is the last recipe I have to share with all of you. If you have one you think others would enjoy, please do not hesitate to stop by the Submissions Page and then hopefully we’ll have another recipe here in two weeks! Thank you. :)

  1. Sounds interesting! Our grapes are just ripening, so next time we have cream cheese...
    Thanks for idea, Jessica!

    1. Cream cheese is easy to make. Just put half cream, half milk in a jar and add some buttermilk or yoghurt (if you use yoghurt make sure it is unflavoured). Set it in a warm place (not too hot, but just warm) for a while...about a day maybe. Until you start to see bubbles going up the side of the jar.

Then, put it in some kind of cloth (we use old flour-sack towels) and hang it to drain until it is about the consistency of cream cheese--about a day or so.

Very simple--especially if you have a cow. :)
