Hi, friends!
I’m just dropping in quickly to say that we’ve just completed another magazine! :)
This one covers a lot—from prayer to answered prayer, dwelling in God’s love, memorising scripture, recipes, and a couple stories. Hopefully you’ll be able to find a nugget to take away when you’re done reading! :)
Click on the picture or go here to read Issue #7.
God bless!
-Rachel and Esther
Thanks so much for sharing. i really enjoy reading your articles. Do you send it out by mail too?
ReplyDeleteYes, Elanee, we do. Read what I said at the bottom of the editorial ("Dear Friend").
ReplyDeleteHi, Wow! It looks really nice!! Just wondering who draws the pictures. Like the flower in the middle of the Dear Friend editorial. It's really amazing!
ReplyDeleteI don't know who drew that...I got it from http://www.clker.com/. They have LOTS of public domain clipart there--very useful!
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved reading the article, Esther, it was so good!
ReplyDeleteThe one story you told about your brother, was so moving -- I was even almost crying. That was such a wonderful example of prayer being answered. Praise the Lord for His mercy!
Btw, I am *so* very sorry I haven't really done much to help out with magazine. As you probably can imagine, things are *very* busy over here (schoolwork, Bible Bee, household responsibilities, etc.).
I'm not sure when I'll have time, but if you could give me a couple ideas of specific things you'd like in your magazine - that don't require a lot of time to work with - I may be able to work something out...
That's okay. :) We do have a writer's group [http://goo.gl/QPBY07] for all those who said they would write for JOJ, and if you wanted to join that that would keep you more up to speed with what's going on. The problem is, though, that you can't join it without an email address. So in your case I guess it's probably out of the question.
ReplyDeleteRight now, we're writing about being God's masterpiece from Ephesians 2:10. If that sparks any ideas in you, then great! But don't feel pressured to write anything--I well understand the problems with trying to balance a lot of things at once. :)
Oh, I actually do use an email address, it just isn't my own personal one, and it doesn't exist anymore -- but for some reason, I'm always able to access things with it. Maybe it's a possibility for me to join!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great topic! It should spark some ideas, since I'm on chapter 2 of my study of Ephesians for Nationals. Though, it still probably won't be a big priority until after Nats...or at least after I finish my verses. :)
Well, you could try. You do need a Google account to go on the group.
ReplyDeleteGood! Hopefully you'll be able to come up with something! :)
Blessings,
Esther
Rosie--I was just thinking about you writing, and wondered if maybe instead of doing Ephesians 2:10 as a subject (unless you're really inspired by that!) maybe you could do an article about a miracle or answered prayer you've experienced? I'd like to have one of those in this next magazine, so it would be great if you could do that.
ReplyDeleteThat is just a suggestion, though. And don't feel like you have to write anything if you don't have the time! :)
That sounds like a neat idea! :) Thanks fro being willing to write, Rosie!
ReplyDeleteAnd Esther - I've been working on an article recently, so if I finish it I'll send it to you for the next issue.
Great, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteEsther: Oh, good point, I would need to get a Google account, wouldn't I?
ReplyDeleteThat is a good suggestion, I'll consider that option too. :)
Rachel: Well, for some reason (and of course, it's a good reason, I'm sure!), the Lord has laid it on my heart to help out with this; so I figured I'd give it a try. :)
Yes, you would need to get a Google account--which would be the down side. :) Talk about it with your parents, and pray about it, and if you/they decide it's okay feel free to join the group. :)
