Joy

This is something I’ve been pondering on lately. It’s something that is so important for every Christian to have, and the second in the list of the “Fruits of the Spirit”, in Galatians 5:22-23. Joy is something that all of us long to have, and something that people can never experience to the full until after they have accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour and Friend. Below are a few thoughts about joy.

Joy is an amazing gift. What has made you joyful today?

  1. For myself, I'd say that the thing that has made me most joyful is seeing the mountains, covered with snow. They're sooo beautiful! Or the hills, with clouds floating over them. Or my baby brother, laying flat on his back on the floor, absorbed in a book for about thirty seconds. There's so much you can find to be happy about if you just look around! :)

  2. I think one big thing that has made me joyful today is thinking about all of the wondeful sisters in Christ I have around the country (and world). Since I don't have any sisters, my sisters in Christ are even more dear to me! :) Thank you for each one of them, Lord!

  4. I have been blessed with seven wonderful brothers. Wow! That is so neat -- are you the oldest?
I am the third oldest; I have two older brothers, and five younger. And my mom is pregnant too! :D Aren't brothers so fun (and energetic)? :)

  5. Yes, I'm the oldest. :) Energetic? Oh my. YES! It's nice to come across someone who can identify. :)

  6. Oh, yes, I know it all too well. :) But being without a sister has in many ways drawn me closer to God, in that I have looked to Him *many* times for comfort and help. :)
